The Shins - The Rifles Spiral

Pure ink drawing, yeah!!
I used like, 34920492374094862347623 hours on this! It took so long! Gawd!
But now I am done, and oh, so glad too!
I had to add some effect too because of how my scanner just eats up my pure black ink! It was more like a grey colour than black, really ._.

___::LONG RANT INCOMING::___

SO! One day, a friend sent me this song, not just any song, but a oh, so awesome song too.
I though the song was pretty awesome, but I wouldn't had been the same without the video to it. It just made the song 140% more awesome!
I immediately fell in love with the music video! At the same time, I really really wanted to draw something, but I didn't know what. I confronted my friend if he had any good ideas. Ofc he had. He told me I could draw something from The Rifles Spiral -- the video he had sent me 5 min before. (I'm guessing he was a bit obsessed with it too =w= )
And so, I started sketching on Paint, and showed him the sketch and I think I changed it like 5 times before I (and him) was satisfied with it.
I started to work on paper, just sketching it up with my trusty pencil.
but.. There was one problem.. I am not the best as colouring things, and I wanted this to become something really good, so I was really desperate how I was to colour it...
But then..
I remember I've been to a museum a long time ago with my class. There, I bought an ink pen. Not just any kind of ink pen, but that old one, with the special tip you dip into ink.
I gave it a go and found out it was UH-MAIH-ZING~
jk jk. But really, it was really fun to try out something new. I covered the whole background with ink, and though it was starting to look really awesome, so I decided to go for a black and white pic c:
